Automatic News Trader EA is an MT4 expert advisor. Shortly before a scheduled high-impact release, it places a buy stop above price and a sell stop below price, then manages whichever side triggers with stop loss, take profit, breakeven and a trailing stop. It reads a calendar feed and filters events by impact level and forecast deviation, so it only arms for the releases you pick.

How the straddle works
Shortly before a scheduled release, the EA sets a buy stop a set distance above market price and a sell stop the same distance below. If the news causes a sharp move, one pending triggers and the other is deleted after the configured delay.
The triggered trade runs under the EA's stop loss and take profit, with optional move-to-breakeven and a trailing stop. If price doesn't move, the untriggered pending is removed so you aren't carrying stale orders into the next event.
Key inputs you will use
SetPendingSecondsBeforeNews and PendingDistanceFromPrice control when and how far from price the pendings go. RiskPercentage or FixedLots sets the size, and TakeProfit and StopLoss set the trade envelope.
CalendarSource and AutoGMT/GMTOffset need to match your broker and VPS time, or the pendings land at the wrong moment. MaxSpread and Slippage help you skip entries when fills are likely to be poor.
What to weigh before you run it
Execution quality decides the outcome here: spread widening, slippage and requotes at release can turn a clean setup into a loss. A low-spread ECN or raw account and a low-latency VPS close to your broker matter more than any input tweak.

Performance
Measure execution quality on demo through live releases: log the fill price against the intended level, the spread at the moment of entry, how often pendings trigger, and the slippage you actually got. Use those numbers to set PendingDistanceFromPrice, MaxSpread and lot sizing before you go live.

Setup
- Unzip the package, copy the EA file into MQL4\Experts, and copy the set files into a folder you can find later
- Restart MetaTrader 4 so the EA shows up in the Navigator, then load whichever set file matches your pair, such as AUDUSD M15 (News).set, onto the chart
- Open Tools → Options → Expert Advisors and enable AutoTrading; make sure your VPS/PC time matches the calendar source named in the inputs
- Start with the default set file values: FixedLots=false, LotSize=0.01, RiskPercentage=1, TakeProfit=100, StopLoss=15, PendingDistanceFromPrice=10 and MaxSpread=5
