How the grid basket works

The EA opens positions in layers and treats them as a single basket. When the basket reaches its target the EA closes the group of trades together. This approach can make equity lines look smoother in backtests because losing legs remain open until price retraces, but it concentrates risk if price keeps moving against the basket.

Because trades are grouped, position sizing and the maximum drawdown you can tolerate are the main controls. Check historical worst-case moves and monitor basket size when you size a live account.

The filters: volatility, news and neuro-style

Aura Absolute includes a volatility filter to avoid trading in fast or choppy markets and a news filter that pauses entries around scheduled releases when WebRequest to a calendar URL is enabled.

Treat terms such as neuro-style filter and hyperparameter tuning as descriptions of extra rule layers rather than a promise of adaptive AI. Practically, the EA may skip signals when its filters detect higher-risk conditions.
