Dark Mimas is an automated scalping EA that uses the Dark Oscillator as its core signal source. The package supports both MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 builds and exposes most settings so traders can reshape the default counter-trend logic into different approaches.

The EA runs market orders by default on short timeframes and includes money management options: fixed lots or percent risk, a hard max lot cap, time filters, simultaneous buy/sell options, and optional grid and martingale-style recovery. The manual recommends demo testing first and warns that recovery modes increase the risk of account blow-up.

Martingale and grid. The EA has optional grid and martingale-style recovery. Keep those modes off on small accounts and during early demo tests; enable them only after long, controlled testing and when your capital comfortably covers observed drawdowns.

How the strategy works

Dark Mimas reads the Dark Oscillator, a counter-trend indicator that attempts to flag reversals before price turns, and opens market orders against the short term move. The default approach is to buy dips and sell rallies inside intraday ranges.

This yields many small wins in ranging sessions and tends to produce concentrated losses during strong directional trends. The EA's behaviour therefore changes with market context.

Key configurable components

Almost every parameter is exposed as an external input. You can change trade size, risk percent, max lot cap, time filters, allowed days and hours, and whether the EA may open buy and sell at the same time.

Grid settings control spacing and lot multipliers, and several flags decide whether grid orders must respect spread, indicator conditions, trading hours or trading days.

Unzip the Dark Mimas EA folder and copy the MT4 or MT5 Expert files into MQL4/Experts or MQL5/Experts respectively
Copy any provided set files into the terminal's /Presets or /profiles/sets area so you can load the shipped configurations such as Dark Mimas Classic Mode (No Grid)
Restart MetaTrader and place the Dark Mimas EA onto an M5, M15 or H1 chart; open the PDF 'Dark Mimas User Manual.pdf' from the package for input descriptions
Begin on a demo account with MoneyManagement off and martingale and grid disabled; use the included default set files (Classic Mode no grid) as a starting point
