DOW and DAX Forex EA is an MT4 expert advisor that trades two index instruments, US30 (Dow Jones) and DAX40 (GER40). It builds a session box around the early European open and places pending orders to capture breakouts from that box.

On standard settings you set a fixed lot size, each trade carries a hard stop loss of about 25 index points, and the EA can use a trailing stop or move to breakeven. It also caps trades at five per day and closes or deletes orders before the session ends. The default configuration skips martingale and grid.

Demo first and match broker settings. Index symbols and server time differ by broker. Confirm your symbol format and adjust the EA's session hours to your broker's GMT offset before running on live.

How the EA trades

The EA watches the early European session and builds a range box between the configured start and end times, then places pending orders above and below that range to catch breakouts. Box hours and the breakout offset are set in the EA's inputs.

With the default inputs the EA uses a fixed lot for entries, a stop loss near 25 points, and trailing or breakeven to manage winners. It avoids overnight exposure by closing or deleting positions before the session ends.

What to configure before you run

Index symbols and point values vary by broker. Check how your broker quotes US30 and DAX40, whether the symbol uses decimals that change point size, and the point value. If any of these are wrong, your position sizing and stops will not match your plan.

The EA's default timing assumes a broker server set to GMT+2. If your broker uses a different offset, change the box start and end hours so the EA trades during the intended hours.

Confirm the symbol name and point value with your broker
Set the BoxStartHour and BoxEndHour inputs to match your broker time
Size the fixed LotSize to tolerate the real drawdowns you expect for index moves
