How the breakout logic works
The EA scans for relative highs and lows on the timeframe you choose. A sensitivity input, BarsN, controls how many bars define a swing point. Lower values mark more swings; higher values mark fewer.
Around each identified level the EA places a pending stop order offset by an order buffer. When price breaks the level and the stop fills, the trade runs with the fixed stop loss and take profit you set.
- Entries use stop orders to seek fast fills on breakouts.
- A three-part trailing stop activates after a set profit, trails at a fixed distance, and only moves when the improvement exceeds a step value.
- You can restrict trading hours with the Time Filter and enable a daily drawdown monitor to close all EA trades if a percentage threshold is reached.
Risk controls and trade sizing
The EA does not use martingale or grid and opens only one position at a time. Lot sizing can be fixed or calculated from a risk percentage of balance.
