Gold Grid Strategy EA is an MT5 expert advisor that trades gold (XAUUSD) by opening a trend-aligned basket and adding same-size orders at set distances until the basket reaches a combined profit target. The EA grids rather than martingales: each add is the same lot size and basket depth is capped. There is no hard stop loss applied to the basket; exits rely on a virtual basket take profit and break-even rules. How the grid works
The EA opens its first order in the trend direction it reads on XAUUSD and then adds same-size orders at predefined distances if price moves against the basket. The group closes when the combined virtual take profit is reached. Grid adds are fixed-size so the approach is not martingale, and the EA enforces a maximum basket depth to limit runaway exposure.
Because the basket has no hard stop loss, floating equity can become negative relative to balance while a cycle is open. That makes position sizing, a sufficient deposit and the optional drawdown cutoff especially important compared with single-order EAs.

Gold Grid Strategy EA exposes internal strategies and broker presets you can switch on or off. Pick a preset to move from conservative to busier behaviour. Running fewer strategies typically reduces trade frequency and the chance of deep baskets; enabling more increases activity and potential drawdown.

The EA runs gold only and requires brokers that provide two-decimal gold quotes. Use a low-spread ECN style account and a stable VPS so executions and spreads match demo conditions as closely as possible.

Performances
Performance depends on lot sizing, deposit size and whether auto lot scaling is used. Run the EA on a demo account for several weeks, log median and maximum basket hold times, trade frequency and the deepest equity drawdown you observe.
