Forex rebates cheat sheet.

A forex rebate returns part of the commission your broker pays the introducing partner, per lot you trade. It lowers your net cost and your breakeven distance without changing your spread. This page sums up the chapter: the key formulas, real rates read on 29 October 2026, the switching steps and the warning signs.

The chapter in six lines

LessonWhat to remember
What a forex rebate isCash back per lot traded, win or lose
Where rebates come fromThe broker pays the IB a commission, and the IB passes its share back
Rebate vs bonusA rebate is withdrawable balance; a bonus is usually credit with conditions
Rebates and breakevenLower net cost per lot means price needs to move fewer pips
Moving to a new IBOnly the partner changes; balance and open trades stay put
Rebate red flagsNo password, no holding your money, rates you can trace

The two formulas

The one formula: spread plus commission minus rebate equals net cost, shown with $20.00 plus $0.00 minus $8.10 equals $11.90.

Worked once, with figures read on 29 October 2026. One lot of EUR/USD on XM Standard had a 2.0 pip 24 hour median spread in the data behind the Spread Checker. That is $20.00, no commission and an $8.10 rebate.

Net cost: $11.90. Breakeven: 1.19 pips instead of 2.0.

Rebate rates read on 29 October 2026

USD per closed lot, as listed on the Exness and XM rebate pages. These are the amounts that reach the trader.

The share of IB commission returned was 100% at Exness and 90% at XM. Rates change when a broker changes its partner terms, so the broker pages carry the current figures.

Net cost of one EUR/USD lot, three accounts

Same date, 24 hour median spreads, no commission on any of these three account types. The pip value is $10 per standard lot.

XM Standard2.0 pips$20.00$8.10$11.90
XM Ultra Low Standard1.1 pips$11.00$3.15$7.85
Exness Standard0.8 pips$8.00about $3.20about $4.80
Paired bars for one lot of EUR/USD: XM Standard costs $20.00 and nets $11.90, XM Ultra Low Standard costs $11.00 and nets $7.85, and Exness Standard costs $8.00 and nets about $4.80.

Spreads move through the day and widen around news, so treat these as a snapshot. Gold, commission accounts and other pairs give different rankings.

Moving an account in four steps

  1. Check the account on the broker page. "Not found in the AutoFXRebate network" only means it is not under AutoFXRebate.
  2. Pick a route: a new account under the new partner, or a partner change on the existing one.
  3. Follow the broker's steps and enter the partner code: afr at Exness, 6TJJT at XM.
  4. Check again once the broker confirms, then watch for the first rebate after your next closed lot.

Red flags in one list

  • Asks for your trading or investor password
  • Wants to hold your money or route deposits through its own wallet
  • Quotes a rate with no source, or one bigger than the cost of the lot
  • Pays late, irregularly, or without showing which trades it came from
  • Your spread is wider than the broker's standard spread for that account type

よくある質問

Does a forex rebate cost me anything?

No. It comes out of the commission the broker already pays the introducing partner, and your spread and commission stay the same.

Is the rebate paid on losing trades?

Yes. It is counted on closed volume, so a losing lot earns the same rebate as a winning lot of the same size.

Where can I see the current rates?

On each broker's rebate page, which lists rates per account type and instrument and includes a rebate calculator.

第1章What is a forex rebate?A forex rebate is money paid back to you for every lot you trade. It comes from the commission a broker pays the partner who introduced your account, and that partner passes some or all of it back. You trade the same way at the same spread, and the cash arrives per closed lot.第1章Where do forex rebates come from?A forex rebate comes from the introducing commission a broker pays the partner who referred your account. That commission is funded by the spread and fees you already pay. The partner passes part or all of it back to you, so you pay nothing extra and your trading conditions stay as they are.第1章Rebate vs bonus: what is the difference?A rebate is cash returned for every lot you trade, paid into your balance and withdrawable like any other money. A deposit bonus is usually trading credit sized to your deposit, often with a volume target before any of it can be withdrawn, and it can be removed when you take money out.第1章How does a rebate lower your breakeven point?Every trade starts slightly behind, because you pay the spread and any commission the moment you open it. A rebate returns part of that cost per lot, so the net cost is smaller and price needs to travel fewer pips before the trade pays for itself. Here is how to work it out with real rates.第1章How do you move a forex account to a new IB?Moving an account to a new introducing broker changes one thing: the partner the broker pays commission to. Your balance, open positions, spread and leverage stay where they are. Brokers usually offer two routes, a partner change on the existing account or a new account opened under the new partner.第1章What are the red flags of a forex rebate service?A sound rebate service only needs your account number to track volume, and the broker pays the rebate into your trading account. Warning signs are requests for your trading password, offers to hold your money, rates with no stated source, slow or unexplained payouts, and pressure to deposit through a private wallet.
