USDJPY Safe Expert Advisor

A fully automated MT4 EA that runs four pending order strategies on USDJPY H1. Every trade has a stop loss and take profit, and there is no martingale or grid.

Expert AdvisorMT4USDJPYH1No martingale or grid

USDJPY Safe Expert Advisor is a fully automated MT4 robot made for USDJPY on the H1 chart and nothing else. It runs four intraday strategies at once. Each one reads the recent daily highs and lows and places a pending order relative to those levels, so stop orders often sit on the chart well before a trade opens.

The four strategies use the same logic with different settings and work independently, which puts their entries at slightly different levels and times. A position gets a small stop loss and a take profit as soon as it fills. There is no martingale, grid, averaging or high frequency trading. The defaults are already tuned for USDJPY, so your setup work is mostly the broker time offset and the risk per strategy, followed by a proper demo period.

Risk adds up across strategies. The Risk % input applies to each of the four strategies separately. At the default 0.75% per strategy, the total reaches 3% when all four have trades open. We suggest keeping the combined figure at 3% or below. Larger accounts often run 0.5% in total, which is 0.125% per strategy.

How a trade is built

Each strategy looks at the last two completed daily candles (TimeFrames = D1, BarCount = 2, Bar = 1) to find the recent high and low. It then places a pending order at a distance set by OpenOrderCoef and OrderCoefLevel. Once price reaches that order and it becomes a market position, the EA attaches the stop loss and take profit, both calculated from StopLossCoef and TakeProfitCoef. While the trade runs, a trailing stop follows the extremes of H1 bars.

EveningCoef changes how open orders are handled in the evening. If price jumps through a pending order and the fill lands more than twice the stop loss distance away (DeviationCoefSL = 2), the EA closes that position rather than hold it at a poor price.

The inputs worth setting yourself

Most inputs can stay at their defaults. Check the ones below against your own broker and account.

  • TimeBroker (UTC+) is your broker server's offset from UTC, default 3. Set it first, since the strategies are time aware.
  • Risk, % sets the risk per order for each strategy (default 0.75). At 0 the EA switches to FixLot, default 0.01, which is handy for flat size testing.
  • If your broker rejects the stop loss and take profit modification, raise Sleep, milliseconds from 100 to 1000. It is the pause before those levels are added to a filled order.
  • SpreadMax, default 30, is the widest spread in points at which the EA still places an order.
  • Strategy 1 to 4 and the month, week of year and weekday switches turn any strategy or calendar slot on or off. Saturday and Sunday start switched off.
  • Keep Quick Testing and Optimization false on a live chart. Both are for the strategy tester only, and a Quick Testing result should be rechecked in normal tick mode.

Who it suits and what to weigh

This is a single pair EA. It suits traders who want a hands off USDJPY robot with fixed protection on every trade and who are happy to leave one chart running on a VPS. If you trade several pairs or prefer to make entries yourself, it is the wrong fit.

The defaults were fitted on USDJPY data going back to 2010. That is a sensible starting point, but if the pair changes character they may suit it less over time, and with one pair a single market drives the whole account. On a very small balance the 0.01 minimum lot can push the real risk per trade above the percentage you entered. Check the money at risk on demo before going live with $100.

Features

  • Four independent strategies on USDJPY H1, each one switchable
  • Pending orders around recent daily highs and lows
  • A stop loss and take profit on every position, plus an H1 trailing stop
  • No martingale, grid, averaging or high frequency trading
  • Sizing by risk percentage per strategy, or a fixed lot
  • For ECN accounts, a spread cap, broker time offset and order modification delay
  • Month, week and weekday filters, with tester options built in

Performance

Results depend heavily on your broker's spread and execution, so your own demo run is the measure that counts. Run it for at least a week, longer if you can. Confirm that every filled order gets its stop loss and take profit, and watch how often SpreadMax blocks an entry and how far fills land from the pending price. Each strategy tags its orders in the comment (S1 to S4), so you can log drawdown and trade count per strategy and switch off any that does not fit your risk.

Advantages

  • Every trade carries a stop loss and take profit, and there is no martingale or grid
  • Setup is short with one pair, one timeframe and ready defaults
  • You can track each strategy and switch it off on its own
  • Sizes by risk percentage or fixed lot from a $100 starting balance

Disadvantages

  • USDJPY only, so a single market drives the whole account
  • Defaults were tuned on past USDJPY data and may fit a changed market less well
  • To run as designed it needs a VPS and a low spread account, plus a correct TimeBroker value
  • MT4 only; the package has no MT5 build

Setup

  1. In MT4 open File > Open Data Folder and copy the EA file from the package into MQL4/Experts. The MT4 install PDF in the package walks through each step
  2. Restart MT4, enable AutoTrading and tick Allow live trading under Tools > Options > Expert Advisors
  3. Open a USDJPY H1 chart and attach the EA. Set TimeBroker to your broker server's offset from UTC and leave the other inputs at default
  4. Choose your risk: keep 0.75% per strategy (3% in total) or go lower. For flat size testing, set Risk to 0 and FixLot to 0.01
  5. Run on demo for at least a week and note drawdown per strategy. If a fill arrives without its stop loss and take profit, raise Sleep to 1000
  6. Go live on a low spread account (about 3 pips or less) with a VPS running 24 hours. An account opened through AutoFXRebate earns backcom on every lot

What USDJPY Safe Expert Advisor costs to run

The EA is free, but every trade it opens still pays the spread, plus commission on accounts that charge one. On USDJPY that comes to $3.32 to $8.34 a lot after the rebate, depending on the account.

Exness Standard Plus$5.31before the rebate: $8.85
XM Ultra Low Standard$6.15before the rebate: $8.85

Verdict

USDJPY Safe Expert Advisor is for traders who want a set and monitor robot on one pair, with protection on every trade and no averaging. Setup is quick because the scope is narrow. The per strategy tags show which parts are pulling their weight on your broker.

Install it from the PDF and set the broker time offset. Keep the combined risk at 3% or below, and give it a full demo run before any live money goes in. The EA is free at AutoFXRebate, and our Telegram group can help if an input or the install step is unclear.
