Questions
Why are bid and ask different?
Bid is the price you sell at and ask the price you buy at. The gap between them is the spread, the broker's main charge on a trade.
Why do prices not move at the weekend?
Forex, metals and indices close from Friday evening to Sunday evening, New York time. The table then shows the last prices before the close. Crypto keeps trading.
Why can my platform show a slightly different price?
Each broker and account type has its own feed and spread, and this table is updated every 5 minutes rather than every tick.
Trade the same, pay less
