Steady Profit EA
A multi-currency EA for MT4. You attach it to one EURUSD M1 chart and it trades the majors and crosses listed in its inputs. Some positions stay open for days or weeks.
Steady Profit EA is a fully automated MT4 robot that runs a whole basket of currency pairs from a single chart. You place it on EURUSD M1. It reads the symbol list in its inputs and trades the majors and crosses on that list, up to all 28. Eight indicators and filters have to agree before it enters, so a week or more can pass without a new trade.
It holds trades far longer than a scalper would. Once a position is open, the EA will keep it for several days, sometimes weeks, and it exits with a trailing stop rather than a quick fixed target. A news filter keeps it out of the market around high-impact releases, and a separate night filter covers the JPY, AUD, CAD and NZD sessions. Because trades are spread across many pairs, no single symbol carries the account. The flip side is that account equity tells you more than any one chart.
About stop losses. Both set files that come with the EA set the fixed stop loss and take profit to 0. Trades close through the trailing stop and the EA's own logic, and some stay open for weeks. Risk therefore shows up as floating drawdown on the equity line, not on the balance. On a small account, keep the risk factor modest and watch equity rather than balance. Decide in advance the account-level loss at which you will step in.

How the basket works
Everything runs from the one chart you attach the EA to. The symbol list input sets which pairs it watches, and prefix and suffix fields handle brokers that name symbols EURUSD.m or similar. When the eight indicators and filters line up on a pair, the EA opens a trade there and manages it in the background.
A 50-point spread cap blocks entries when a pair gets expensive. The EA also waits a set time between trades so it doesn't pile into the same move. Hedging is allowed, so you may see a buy and a sell on related pairs at the same time.
The two set files
The package includes two ready configurations. They share the same news and night filters but trade in different modes. Each has its own magic number, so you can tell their trades apart in the history.
- Night normal runs strategy mode 1 and waits 60 minutes between trades. Its trail starts at 150 points with a tight step.
- Night reverse uses strategy mode 2 with a 240-minute wait, and gives positions more room by starting the trail at 250 points.
- Fixed stop loss and take profit stay at 0 in both, with a risk factor of 5.
- Both filter high-impact news and keyword events, and both apply the night filter to JPY, AUD, CAD and NZD.
What to weigh before you run it
MT4's strategy tester handles one symbol at a time. A backtest on EURUSD shows only the EURUSD trades, not how the full basket behaves together, so demo time on a live feed is the only realistic way to see it.
Spread costs add up fast with up to 28 pairs open. A disconnection leaves many positions unattended. Treat a low-spread ECN account and a VPS that keeps MT4 running around the clock as required parts of the setup.
Features
- Trades up to 28 majors and crosses from one EURUSD M1 chart
- Eight indicators and filters decide entries
- News filter by impact level and keyword events, plus a night session filter
- Adjustable trailing stop (start, step and minimum distance)
- Maximum spread filter and a waiting period between trades
- Two ready set files, night normal and night reverse
- Prefix and suffix inputs for brokers that rename symbols
Performance
MT4 cannot backtest the whole basket, so you learn how this EA behaves on a demo account. Run it for several weeks, longer than one quiet spell. Track the deepest floating drawdown on the equity line, and note how many pairs are open at once and how long trades last. Use those figures to choose an account size and risk factor you are comfortable with.
Pros
- One chart covers the whole basket, which keeps setup and monitoring simple
- Built-in news filter with keyword events, plus a night session filter
- Exposure is spread across many pairs instead of one symbol
- Two ready set files to start demo testing from
Cons
- No fixed stop loss in the included sets, so drawdown sits in open trades
- You can't backtest the full basket in MT4
- Needs a VPS and a low-spread account to run as designed
- Long quiet periods make demo results slow to judge
Setup
- Unzip the package and follow the MT4 install PDF: in MT4 open File, Open Data Folder, copy the EA from the Steady Profit EA folder into MQL4/Experts and put the night normal and night reverse set files in MQL4/Presets
- Restart MT4 and enable AutoTrading. Check that every pair in the symbol list shows in Market Watch
- Open a EURUSD M1 chart, attach the EA and load the night normal set. If your broker adds a prefix or suffix to symbol names, enter it in the matching input
- Start on demo with the default risk factor or lower, and watch the equity line as well as the balance
- Give the demo several weeks. Log the deepest floating drawdown, the number of open pairs and how long trades are held
- For live trading, use a low-spread ECN account on a reliable VPS. If you open that account through AutoFXRebate, you earn backcom on every lot the basket trades
What Steady Profit EA costs to run
The EA is free, but every trade it opens still pays the spread, plus commission on accounts that charge one. On EURUSD that comes to $4.13 to $11.90 a lot after the rebate, depending on the account.
| Broker · Account | EURUSD | GBPUSD | AUDUSD |
|---|---|---|---|
| Exness Raw Spread | $4.13 (lowest) | $4.88 (lowest) | $4.88 |
| Exness Zero | $4.13 (lowest) | $5.01 | $4.88 |
| Exness Pro | $4.50 | $5.25 | $4.50 (lowest) |
| Exness Standard | $4.80 | $6.00 | $5.40 |
| Exness Standard Plus | $6.60 | $8.40 | $7.80 |
| XM Ultra Low Standard | $7.85 | $9.85 | $9.50 |
| XM Standard | $11.90 | $15.00 | $15.90 |
The top figure is the cost of one lot, opened and closed, after the rebate. The struck-through figure is the cost before it. These are estimates from the typical spread of the last 12 hours plus commission.

Verdict
Steady Profit EA suits traders who prefer a slow, hands-off approach and don't mind positions staying open for days while the basket works across many pairs. Skip it if you want every trade capped by a fixed stop or need results within a few days.
Load the night normal set on demo and give it several weeks. Move to a live account only once the floating drawdown you recorded fits your capital and nerves. The EA is a free download from AutoFXRebate with its install PDF, and our Telegram group can help with the setup or the inputs.
