VantaFX EA

An MT4 trend robot for US30, US100 and US500 on the M1 chart. It holds one trade at a time, sized by fixed percent risk, with no grid or martingale.

Expert AdvisorMT4US30, US100, US500M1No grid, no martingale

VantaFX EA trades the US stock indices US30, US100 and US500 on the M1 chart. It runs on MT4 and is fully automated. When a MACD signal agrees with the prevailing trend, it opens one position sized to a fixed percentage of your balance. That trade closes at its stop loss or take profit before the EA looks for another.

The EA does not use a grid or martingale, and it never stacks orders. The account carries at most one trade, with a stop known in advance. That makes it a reasonable fit for prop-firm accounts with tight daily and maximum drawdown rules. Trading hours and weekdays are inputs, as are the signal settings, so you can keep a separate preset for each account instead of one generic configuration.

Check the risk before you go live. The included US100 preset sets Risk to 3.5, and its stop loss is far wider than its take profit, 18,500 against 1,000 in the EA's pip units. Most trades close with a small gain. A single stop can still take back the profit of many winners. On a small or prop-firm account, we suggest running demo at 1% or lower and raising it only after you have watched the EA take a full stop.

How VantaFX EA trades

The EA reads a MACD with its own fast, slow and signal settings, plus a distance filter and a crossover mode. It only trades in the direction of the current trend. Outside the session you set, it stays flat. The included US100 preset trades Monday to Friday from 14:00 to 20:00 server time, which covers the US open and the hours before and after it.

With one position at a time on a one-minute chart, you can follow every decision on the chart and in the Journal tab. Results depend heavily on the index you pick and the preset you load. How your broker quotes index CFDs during those hours matters too.

Inputs you will change

The default inputs are weak, so load the US100 preset that ships with the EA first. It also runs on US30 and US500. Still, test each index on demo separately, and save a separate preset once you trust a set of settings.

  • Risk is the percentage of the balance at risk on each trade.
  • SL_In_Pips and TP_In_Pips set the stop loss and take profit distances, measured in the EA's pip units.
  • New trades open only inside the server-time window you set with Start_Time and End_Time.
  • Each weekday has its own on/off switch. The preset leaves weekends off.
  • MACD_Fast, MACD_Slow, MACD_Signal, MACD_Distance and MACD_Crossover_ID control how often a signal fires.
  • If you run several charts, give each one its own MagicStart number so their orders do not get mixed.

Who it suits

It suits traders who want a hands-off index robot with a simple risk profile. That includes anyone working through a prop-firm challenge. There, one bad day can end the account.

If you mainly trade forex around the clock, look elsewhere. The same goes if you cannot keep MT4 running on a VPS through the whole US session.

Features

  • Trend-following entries from a configurable MACD signal
  • One open position at a time, no grid, no martingale
  • Lot size calculated from a fixed percentage of the balance
  • Start and end time filter for the session
  • Each weekday can be switched on or off
  • Ready US100 M1 preset, also usable as a base for US30 and US500
  • Built with prop-firm drawdown limits in mind

Performance

What counts is how the EA behaves on your own broker's index feed. Build your own record on demo rather than trusting any equity curve. Log trades per session and every stop loss hit, and compare the average win with the average loss. Then work out how many winners one stop costs at your Risk setting. That ratio says more than the hit rate about how much risk your account, or your prop firm's rules, can carry.

Advantages

  • One trade at a time with a fixed stop, so the worst case per trade is known in advance
  • No grid or martingale. A losing trade is never averaged into a bigger position
  • Session and weekday filters keep the EA out of the market when you do not want it trading
  • Runs on a single M1 index chart with the included preset

Disadvantages

  • Default inputs are weak and only a US100 preset is included, so US30 and US500 need your own testing
  • The preset's stop is much wider than its target. One loss can erase a long run of small wins
  • M1 index trading around the US open needs a VPS and stable execution to behave as it did on demo
  • MT4 only

Setup

  1. Unzip the package and follow the MT4 install PDF. The EA goes into MQL4/Experts and US100_M1.set into MQL4/Presets
  2. Restart MT4 and turn on AutoTrading. Check that your broker's US100 symbol (often NAS100 or USTEC) is quoting live
  3. Open US100 on M1 and attach VantaFX EA. Load US100_M1.set with the Load button in the Inputs tab, then lower Risk to 1 or less for the first run
  4. Compare Start_Time and End_Time with your broker's server clock so the window lines up with the US session
  5. Run it on demo for at least a week, longer if you can, and note trades per day, the largest loss and how often the stop is hit
  6. Go live on an ECN account with a VPS that stays online through the session. If you open that account through AutoFXRebate, you also get backcom on every lot the EA trades

What VantaFX EA costs to run

The EA is free, but every trade it opens still pays the spread, plus commission on accounts that charge one. On US30 that comes to $0.51 to $4.38 a lot after the rebate, depending on the account.

Broker · AccountUS30
Exness Raw Spread$0.51 (lowest)before the rebate: $0.63
Exness Pro$0.52before the rebate: $0.70
Exness Standard$0.60before the rebate: $1.00
Exness Zero$1.13before the rebate: $1.25
Exness Standard Plus$1.50before the rebate: $2.50
XM Ultra Low Standard$2.92before the rebate: $4.00
XM Standard$4.38before the rebate: $6.00

The top figure is the cost of one lot, opened and closed, after the rebate. The struck-through figure is the cost before it. These are estimates from the typical spread of the last 12 hours plus commission.

Verdict

VantaFX EA fits traders who want an automated index robot with a simple risk setup. It takes one trade at a time with a fixed stop and sizes it as a fixed share of the balance. It never doubles down. Prop-firm accounts suit it best, as long as Risk is set so that a single stop stays inside the firm's daily loss rule.

Start with the US100 preset on M1 and cut the risk. Run it on demo for at least a week across full US sessions, and test US30 and US500 one at a time before moving to either.
